AfterThe challenge
Four original skylights had site-built flashing that leaked every spring, and upstairs bedrooms hit 84 degrees on summer evenings.
What we did
- Replaced four skylights with solar-venting units and factory flashing kits
- Added 64 feet of ridge vent and cleared blocked soffits with baffles
- Architectural shingles with ice and water shield around every skylight
- New seamless gutters with micro-mesh guards under the pines
The result
Skylights dry through spring, and the upstairs now stays about 6 degrees cooler (sample reading).
